Executive Director

The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization through a period of transition, renewal, and growth. The role will build on recent progress in strengthening finances, stabilizing operations, and reconnecting audiences with live period-instrument performance, while supporting an ambitious artistic vision taking shape under the organization’s Artistic Director. This opportunity is well suited to a leader who is energized by both challenge and possibility and who can translate creative ambition into durable organizational strength. Core priorities include audience development, contributed-revenue growth, long-term financial sustainability, organizational capacity building, and creative thinking about how the client serves its patrons and the broader community. The Executive Director will work to define and pursue the organization’s next chapter, helping expand reach to new audiences and deepen community presence while positioning the organization for long-term stability and sustainable growth. The client presents early music from the Baroque and early Classical eras through performances on historical instruments and carefully crafted replicas, offering an experience grounded in scholarship yet marked by vitality and discovery. The successful candidate will be committed to immersing in a small, dedicated community supporting early music, collaborating with the orchestra and artistic leadership, and applying strategic and practical leadership skills to support ongoing artistic and organizational development.
