Breakfast Attendant

We are seeking a guest-oriented, friendly, and dependable individual to join our team as a Breakfast Attendant at our AC Hotel in Newtown Square, PA! This property is managed by Gulph Creek Hotels (Wayne, PA). Join a company that values hospitality, teamwork, and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome and greet all guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Provide exceptional guest service and create a welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience for all guests. Prepare, set up, and maintain the breakfast area according to hotel standards. Set up breakfast food, beverages, condiments, utensils, plates, cups, and other necessary items before service. Ensure breakfast items are properly stocked, presented, and replenished throughout the breakfast period. Monitor food levels and replenish items promptly to ensure guests have a variety of available selections. Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Prepare and serve coffee, tea, juices, and other breakfast beverages as needed. Assist guests with questions regarding breakfast selections, ingredients, and hotel amenities. Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive breakfast area throughout service. Clear and clean tables promptly and reset them for incoming guests. Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and other breakfast service items as required. Clean and sanitize tables, counters, food service areas, beverage stations, equipment, and other surfaces regularly. Monitor expiration dates, food quality, and freshness of breakfast items. Properly store and label food items according to company and food safety procedures. Follow proper procedures for handling, preparing, storing, and serving food. Maintain appropriate inventory of breakfast supplies and communicate low-stock items to management. Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and beverage supplies as needed. Operate breakfast equipment safely and according to manufacturer and hotel guidelines. Communicate effectively with guests, Housekeeping, Front Desk, Maintenance, Management, and other hotel departments. Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with opening and closing the breakfast area, including cleaning, restocking, and securing equipment and supplies. Ensure the breakfast area is properly cleaned and restored at the end of service. Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling regulations. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Keep work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and consistently exemplify company values in all interactions. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hotel, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Previous experience working in a breakfast or food service environment is preferred. Food handler certification preferred or required as applicable. Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently use hands and fingers to prepare, serve, and handle food and beverages. Frequently reach with hands and arms. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach to retrieve food, supplies, and equipment. Ability to lift and carry food supplies, boxes, trays, beverage containers, and other items as needed. Ability to push and pull carts, trash containers, and other equipment. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed. Must have close and distance vision, color vision, and focus ability. Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced food service environment. Ability to safely handle food, cleaning products, kitchen equipment, and other materials.
