Putting people first

The Assistant Practice Manager (APM) is responsible for supporting the Owner Veterinarian to manage the facility in its entirety, including business management, financial management and overall clinical operations management. It is the Assistant Practice Managers job to partner with the Owner Veterinarian to ensure the highest level of customer experience satisfaction and efficient staff management to help meet the demands and needs of the facility and clients. It is the job of the Assistant Practice Manager to aid the Owner Veterinarian when implementing and enforcing all CityVet policies, standards and procedures.

Essential qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Minimum two years of veterinary industry experience

A day in the life:

• Helps facilitate, encourage, and participates in the improvement efforts alongside the facility team to ensure the CityVet brand standards, policies and procedures are met when delivering client care and customer service that results in maintaining a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Partner with the Owner Veterinarian to manage, input, and publish the facility schedule to ensuring efficient skills are allocated to the appropriate appointment demands and needs of the clients, Veterinarians and animals are met.
• Collaborate with the Owner Veterinarian and facility staff to maintain proper inventory management of office supplies, facility supplies and medical supplies to assure adequate levels of inventory for current and anticipated needs.
