Director of HR Technology

We’re seeking a Director of HR Technology to lead the strategy, architecture, and modernization of a complex enterprise HR technology ecosystem. This leader will help unify the employee experience across Oracle HCM, UKG, integrations, APIs, and AI-enabled tools while leading a 23-person team in a highly cross-functional environment. Responsibilities Lead the HR technology roadmap, architecture, and execution across Oracle HCM, UKG, middleware, APIs, and custom applications. Own and improve a complex integration environment connecting Oracle HCM to multiple vendors and internal platforms. Drive AI enablement across the HR tech stack, including chatbot capabilities, workflow automation, self-service, intelligent search, and user-facing experience improvements. Evaluate current integration patterns, including Boomi, and challenge the existing architecture to improve scalability, usability, and long-term maintainability. Partner with HR, IT, security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, enterprise-scale solutions. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 23 professionals across HR technology and related functions. Improve the overall employee and manager experience by adding more intuitive, modern capability layers on top of core HR platforms. Requirements Strong enterprise architecture background with a heavier software engineering orientation. Significant experience leading HR technology, HRIS, HCM, or enterprise business systems teams at scale. Deep experience with Oracle HCM in a complex enterprise environment. Experience managing people within the HR technology or broader HR systems space. Strong understanding of systems integration, APIs, middleware, and platform interoperability. Experience working with technologies such as Java-based application frameworks, Apigee, UKG, and enterprise integration tooling. Proven experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives in partnership with HR and IT leaders. Hands‑on experience with AI enablement, automation, chatbots, or intelligent workflow capabilities across enterprise platforms. Nice to haves Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex operating environments. Experience modernizing fragmented HR ecosystems into a more unified employee experience. Background assessing and evolving integration tools such as Boomi rather than simply inheriting the current state. Experience building AI-driven employee experiences across multiple systems and vendors.
