RN Women's Health and Newborn Care

Unit Information: The RN / GN must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care. He/She must have the ability to assess, evaluate, identify, and interpret the requirement and needs of the patients and perform based on those findings. The RN / GN reports directly to Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Nurse Manager.

Pay Range: $28 to $44.5 Nights ($6 shift differential) Up to $5,000 relocation

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the unit by making staffing decisions in concert with supervisor, labor and delivery, nursery and women's health.
• Is accountable for and is able to organize, prioritize and make appropriate patient assignments.
• Holds self and other staff members accountable and exhibits responsibility for work performance and continuous improvement of patient care in his/her work area and throughout the hospital.
• Ensures self-compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care.
• Demonstrates the knowledge of needs and tasks for Women's Health and Labor and Delivery (including outpatients).
• Ensures that she/he and the staff for whom they are responsible, satisfactorily complete clinical procedures, documentation, and appropriate teaching for patients in the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN
• Licensure/Certification:
• a.) Must have valid, current license by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
• b.) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
