About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy General Counsel to play a pivotal role in its strategic, operational, and compliance functions. The successful candidate will provide high-level legal support on a wide range of matters, ensuring that the company's work is in line with its mission and legal obligations. Key responsibilities for the Deputy General Counsel include overseeing statutory and operational programs, managing complex legal issues, and supporting the organization in its initiatives for improvement and efficiency. The role also involves assisting with constituent relations, providing ethical guidance, and collaborating with various divisions to identify legal risks and promote consistent standards. Applicants for the Deputy General Counsel position at the company should have a strong background in working with state government agencies or public-sector clients, with a preference for those with over 5 years' of legal experience. Familiarity with Missouri statutory frameworks, particularly Chapter 27 and Chapter 610, is essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional legal judgment, analytical ability, and professionalism, as well as outstanding written and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and coordinate across multiple units. A Missouri Bar license or the ability to obtain one is mandatory, and prior experience within the Missouri Attorney General's Office is a significant advantage.
