Press Operator

Press Operator Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for a skilled Press Operator on first shift in the Cleveland, OH manufacturing plant. Press Operator Pay/Schedule: Pay $19-$22/hr 1st shift-6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Schedule is Monday-Friday; overtime may be required during busy season/business needs. Press Operator Responsibilities & Daily Duties Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA. Reads docket instructions and sets up press based on these instructions Makes job ready by running samples to adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixing Responsible for the quality of printed work within defined levels of authority Monitors PH and conductivity of fountain solution on offset press Performs preventative maintenance on presses such as lubrication, replacement of small parts cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers and other small moving parts. Other duties and assignments as required. Press Operator Physical Requirements & Work Environment Regular standing, walking, carrying, reaching, bending, stooping Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance Exposure to production equipment, noise hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.) Must be able to work in hot or cold weather Ability to handle delivery output in a standing position for a full shift Cenveo is an EEO Employer INDCVOP Press Operator Requirements The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of relevant work experience in a production environment. Ability to operate, problem solve, and detect malfunctions on press equipment. Knowledge of mixing and producing correct colors in printing. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills.
