On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment just like our patients have come to expect. You'll gain experience working on a wide range of projects and HVAC systems throughout our facilities, train with the newest technology and receive guidance from fellow caregivers and management.

A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday, 6:30am3:00pm with rotational weekends and holiday requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Regularly inspect, diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration/air conditioning systems and other equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, walk-in coolers, medical and process chillers, cooling equipment, cryogenic freezers and rooftop heating/cooling units.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic controls, solid state microprocessors and system alarms.
• Repair refrigerant leaks and evacuate and adjust refrigerant charges.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or GED
• State of Ohio EPA approved certificate for either Type I and Type II or Universal Refrigerant Systems Service
• Three years of experience as a commercial/residential air conditioning refrigeration technician. Military experience as a Machinists Mate, Utilities man, Utilities Equipment Repairer or a similar role will be considered
• Formal vocational classroom study in refrigeration, air conditioning and/or air handling may substitute up to 1 year of experience
• Can read electric schematic diagrams

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Completion of a formal HVAC/Refrigeration training program
• Work experience in a hospital setting

• Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
• Ability to inspect equipment
• Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
• Ability to distinguish color
• Ability to climb ladders
