Production Associate - Assembly

Support assembly, paint line, and post-fabrication operation. Perform operations required to assemble and pack various products including operation of equipment in accordance with customer orders. Hang parts and kits on paint line in sequence according to direction from planning and scheduling department. Guide the loading of products on to the paint conveyor, the shaker table and correctly load post-fabricated products onto various racks and carts for distribution throughout the facility. Continually rotating between assembly, paint line, and shaking duties. In this position you will:

• Make proper hanger and hook selection to hang parts to ensure safe operations.
• Loads and unloads materials into and out of hook burn-off oven and is trained in operating procedures of the oven.
• Be responsible for all post-fabricated products to be removed from skeletons or metal sheets using various tools such as shaker table, chisel and lift.
• Use hand and power tools to complete builds including but not limited to drills, circular saws, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
• Operate packaging/wrapping equipment and palletize complete units.
• Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed.

Position criteria:

• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, blueprints, and work orders.
• Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of basic shop math, assembly, and configuration.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to use measuring tape, hand and power tools or saw.
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items.
• Ability to use powered industrial vehicles (PIV) including pallet jack, high-lifts, and tugger.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion including but not limited to lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
• Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, metatarsal-guard safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
