Job Description

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality production output and maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and plates.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements.

• Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job.

• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.

• Make machine adjustments as needed to ensure product quality and minimize waste.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.

• Accurately record production data in logs or computer systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation and setup, specifically press brake machines.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Ability to use precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in machine operation.

• Strong problem-solving skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $22.20/hr.
