Join a 221-bed acute-care hospital and Level II Trauma Center as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures and evaluate patient response to therapy.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory treatments.
• Assist with artificial airway placement and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers of changes or unexpected reactions.
• Respond to emergency situations and support airway management and ventilation during resuscitation.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.

Requirements

• Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• NBRC RRT credential
• Completion of a 2-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care program
• BLS/BCLS required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire
• New graduates may be considered if they have recently passed their boards or are awaiting their official license and have no prior respiratory experience.
• CRT experience alone does not qualify.
