About Our Client

A company in the industrial and manufacturing sector located in Peterborough.

Job Description

Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet production and operational needs.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to minimize costs and avoid shortages.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors and suppliers.
Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:

Strong knowledge of procurement processes within the industrial and manufacturing industry.
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
