Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience in resource or adapted curriculum settings is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet various learning needs
• Commitment to individualized educational planning and implementation
• Organizational skills to maintain accurate student records and data
• Passion for encouraging student independence and advocacy

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide specialized instruction to students in both resource and adapted curriculum environments
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work alongside general education staff to promote access and inclusion within the school community
• Assess, track, and report student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and support specialists
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages growth
• Support the transition of students between grade levels and instructional settings
