Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a technical powerhouse who is equally comfortable in a code editor and a customer boardroom. You will spend your time solving the "last mile" problem-ensuring our customers can successfully adopt and get value from our platform.

You are a problem solver with deep user empathy, outstanding customer communication , and strong software engineering chops. This is a role for engineers who love wearing multiple hats: you will craft data pipelines, write Python code, and interact directly with high-value customers. You will be a key member of a talented, interdisciplinary team building an AI platform from the ground up.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Lead Technical Onboarding: Architect data pipelines to ingest complex geospatial datasets and ensure seamless customer adoption.
• Bridge the Gap: Develop custom features in Python and capture nuanced product requirements to guide our roadmap.
• Build & Deliver: Design software solutions and integrations that deliver immediate, tangible value to our customers.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with other engineers, account managers, domain experts, and PMs to align technical execution with business goals.

What You Should Have

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong customer-facing track record.
• Python Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write production-ready Python for data manipulation and API integrations.
• Data Expertise: Experience with SQL and cloud data warehouses for data analysis.
• Communication: Outstanding technical communication skills and the ability to lead high-stakes customer interactions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Travel Readiness: This role may involve frequent (1-2 times per quarter) domestic and international travel

• Geospatial Expertise: Experience working with geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, shapefiles).
• Full-Stack Skills: Experience building and maintaining full-stack applications.
• Startup Mindset: Experience in early-stage companies with rapidly evolving requirements.
• Industry Context: Familiarity with the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is a plus, but not necessary.
