Software Engineer - Data & AI

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the work environment for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, and we can critically assess and validate AI-generated output.
• We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We have frontend experience with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• We have backend experience with Python, Java, or Kotlin, and with REST or GraphQL.
• We have data engineering or platform experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS.
• We have platform engineering experience with containers, CI/CD, observability, and controlled release practices.
• We have applied AI experience with LLMs, including Claude Code, agents, skills, RAG, embeddings, prompt or configuration management, evaluation and guardrails, and agent tool or function calling.
• We prefer experience in financial services or Wealth Management, plus expertise in data governance or data management, and experience evaluating and hardening open-source software.
• We hold a bachelors degree; an advanced degree is a plus.

• We execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• We write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with awareness of upstream and downstream systems and technical impacts.
• We take hands-on ownership of designing and developing an agentic production data platform and the full stack application.
• We apply an AI-first mindset when developing code using Claude Code and when building agents to make the application and platform more autonomous.
• We develop AI skills, agents, and MCP servers to support product capabilities and create business value.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC tools and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted automation to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We use technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve basic technical issues.
• We gather, analyze, and interpret large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure, stable application development.
• We learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills to develop secure, stable code and systems.
