Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a hybrid contract in Texas. Responsibilities The Business Analyst (BA) will support multiple technology projects with a focus on major system enhancements and application rewrite efforts. This role performs advanced, senior-level business analysis and serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and the software development team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Responsibilities include eliciting and analyzing business requirements through interviews, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, document analysis, surveys, workflow analysis, and use cases; documenting business and functional requirements, user stories, software requirements specifications, wireframes, and mockups; managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle; verifying that implemented solutions meet business needs; utilizing Jira and Modern Requirements to manage change control and track requirements; mentoring peers on business analysis best practices; and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives. Minimum Qualifications 8 years of experience eliciting requirements through customer interviews and creating well‑written system requirements. 8 years of experience working within Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC). 8 years of experience with business process re‑engineering and software process flow improvements. 8 years of experience developing user stories and use cases that align with business analysis best practices. 8 years of experience designing wireframes and/or mockups that conform to UX best practices. 5 years of demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills. 5 years of demonstrated strong writing and organizational skills. 3 years of experience working for or closely with federal, state, or local education agency, or an education technology vendor. 2 years of experience using Atlassian Jira for issue tracking. 2 years of experience using Modern Requirements for requirements management. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting education‑focused technology initiatives. Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and requirements management best practices.
