Join a leader in advanced EV batteries. m Summar y:As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will support the development and continuous improvement of workplace Health & Safety programs by anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazards. This role partners with employees and leadership to build a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and promote a safe working environment across plant operations and administrative office s. Responsibiliti es:Assist with administration and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) for annual safety training assignments and completion track ingOversee one or more site-wide health and safety programs and serve as a champion of the workplace safety sys temSupport delivery of safety training for employees, contractors, and visit orsEnsure effective hazard identification, risk mitigation, and corrective actions for plant operations and office ar easConduct daily line walks to verify Health & Safety practices are being followed and identify at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or policy non-complian ce.Communicate safety concerns, incidents, and corrective actions to department leadership in a timely man nerPartner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performa nceSupport incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action track ingConduct new equipment safety reviews, machine risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluati onsSupport emergency response planning, drills, critiques, and readiness activit iesAssist with new hire orientation, contractor safety onboarding, and other Health & Safety training top icsSupport workplace compliance evaluations related to local, state, and federal regulati onsPerform job site audits, inspections, and compliance assessme ntsEnsure compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other Health & Safety regulations and standa rdsMaintain safety records, training documentation, and audit repo rtsSupport implementation of corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace r iskMaintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standar ds:Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sust ainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right Contai nerPerform other duties as assig ned Qualificati ons:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be consid eredBilingual in English/Spanish or English/Korean preferred, but not requ edKnowledge of workplace safety principles, hazard recognition, and regulatory compli anceAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environ ment Experi ence:1 to 3 years of experience evaluating, implementing, and improving Health & Safety programs in a manufacturing or general industry enviro nmentStrong knowledge of and experience working with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and applicable state/local regulations and require mentsExperience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up prefe rred.Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team se ttingExperience delivering training and supporting employee engagement initiatives pref erred S kills:Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and Powe rPointSkilled in analyzing and evaluating technical data, test results, and r eportsPositive attitude, self-driven, and results-oriented ap proachStrong interpersonal skills with demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing goalsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work flexible hours as needed to support all production shifts and operational needsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet dea dlinesStrong problem-solving and decision-making #J-18808-Ljbffr LG Energy Solution
