Aspen Careers is partnering with an established civil litigation practice in German Village to identify a Legal Administrative Assistant . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal assistant or legal secretary who enjoys supporting an attorney directly, staying organized, and taking ownership of daily office responsibilities.

The practice handles business, construction, consumer, and personal injury litigation. The right candidate will bring strong dictation and transcription skills, state and federal court filing experience, and the ability to work independently . This person must also be comfortable working alone in the office while the attorney is attending hearings, depositions, or working elsewhere.

The Ideal Candidate

• Prior experience as a litigation legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar legal support professional.

• Strong audio dictation and transcription skills.

• Experience preparing and electronically filing documents in state and federal courts.

• Ability to maintain calendars, track litigation deadlines, and manage competing priorities.

• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

• Confidence working independently and following through without close supervision.

• Comfort being the only person physically in the office for portions of the week.

• Professional communication skills and sound judgment when interacting with clients.

• Experience organizing exhibits, trial notebooks, and other litigation materials.

• Familiarity with legal billing; Timeslips experience is helpful but can be taught .

• Availability for occasional evening or weekend work around trials and major deadlines.
