Job Description
Title: CVOR Perfusionist

Schedule:
- Start: December
- Call: Shared 24/7 coverage among 3 perfusionists
- Weekends: Yes - rotation among 3 perfusionists
- Holiday expectation: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Assignment Details:
- Duration/status: 1st-timer CVOR experience acceptable; at least 1 year of experience required
- Patient ratio: 1:1

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year perfusion experience
- Compact state license must be in hand at submission
- Certifications required: BLS
- Charting system: Epic (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), including priming and set-up
- Perform cardioplegia and temperature management, including hypothermic circulatory arrest
- Provide VAD/IABP/Impella support and manage weaning/resumption of circulation
- Conduct autologous blood salvage and ultrafiltration
- Manage oxygenator failure, massive air embolus, and power failure
- Oversee anticoagulation and flow-rate management

Compliance / Notes:
- Must disclose if previously worked at a partner facility (location & dates)

- Modules completion required pre-start/during orientation
- Background checks will be performed; specific policies will apply
