Key Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures
• Evaluate patients in areas including independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills
• Develop individualized treatment plans with short- and long-term goals, including frequency and duration of treatment
• Assist patients through design and fabrication of adaptive equipment, orthotic devices, joint protection techniques, and body mechanics instruction
• Inform patients and families of goals and progress; assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans
• May supervise occupational therapy students

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current Occupational Therapist license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, required upon hire
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional occupational therapy, including materials and supplies utilized in treatment programs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey instructions and technical information to patients and families
• Basic computer skills
