Tax Senior

DescriptionKforce's client, a successful professional services company just outside Providence, is in need of a Tax Senior. The company offers a strong firm culture, an excellent compensation plan and the opportunity to work with a great professional team.Responsibilities:* Tax Senior will prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership and non-profit tax returns of varying complexities* Prepare and review underlying tax workpapers* Perform tax research on client tax matters and provide technical recommendations* Train and mentor staff accountants* As a Tax Senior, you will assist in client tax planning and business advisory* Communicate appropriately with clients, providing excellent service and quick turnaround* Perform other duties as assignedRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance* 3-5 years of experience working for a certified public accounting firm* Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations* Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures* Professional, driven, and self-motivated* Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy* Strong time management skills and ability to work independently* Proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks* Ability to collaborate with others on tasks to meet deadlines* Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and approaches projects with a sense of urgency* Preferred: Certified Public Accountant or actively studying and preparing for CPA certificationJob TypeDirect HireCompensation100000 - $115000
