Machine Operator (CNC Lathe)
SchureMed is seeking an energetic CNC Lathe Machine Operator to join our growing team. What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision components to print specifications.
- Determine machining sequence, select tooling, prepare program layout, and execute programs for consistent quality and efficiency.
- Work from blueprints, shop orders, and verbal instructions to machine components to exacting tolerances.
- Set up jobs with existing tooling/fixtures, and when needed, design or fabricate specialized fixtures or holding devices.
- Select proper tooling, load/verify programs, adjust offsets, and perform in-process corrections to maintain accuracy.
- Inspect all machined components using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company quality and safety procedures.
- Support daily production and perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes (milling experience is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, offsets, and machining processes.
- Proficiency with inspection equipment and verifying tight-tolerance dimensions.
- High attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and pride in workmanship.
