Senior Systems Engineer - SaaS / ServiceNow

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract Duration: Up to 12 months with potential extensions About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise SaaS applications across their full lifecycle. This hands-on role will focus on SaaS implementation, configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, access management, vendor coordination, and ongoing operational support. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with ServiceNow and enterprise SaaS platforms , along with solid SDLC knowledge, application integration skills, and the ability to independently resolve complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and implement enterprise SaaS solutions based on architecture, integration, security, SSO, and service-level requirements. Configure, enhance, integrate, test, deploy, and support SaaS applications. Integrate SaaS platforms with ServiceNow, identity management solutions, APIs, databases, data pipelines, and internal systems . Manage user onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, roles, groups, and RBAC. Monitor SaaS availability, performance, API latency, application metrics, and vendor service health. Troubleshoot application issues, outages, and performance problems and coordinate resolution with vendors. Manage vendor support cases, upgrades, releases, and application changes. Develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and analytics to support application governance and optimization. Support SaaS application lifecycle activities, including decommissioning, data extraction, archival, and access termination. Create technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials. Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of experience implementing, enhancing, and testing SaaS applications. 7+ years of technical and administrative SaaS application support, including debugging and issue resolution. 7+ years of SaaS application onboarding and configuration experience. 7+ years of SDLC experience covering analysis, solution design, development, testing, automation, and deployment. Strong experience with ServiceNow and enterprise SaaS platforms . Experience with APIs, integrations, identity management, SSO, RBAC, and enterprise systems. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical issues. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. 100% onsite availability in West Sacramento, CA, Monday–Friday. Preferred Skills 5+ years of hands-on coding experience involving algorithms and data structures. Experience integrating SaaS solutions with the ServiceNow Now Platform . Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM . Experience with ServiceNow Incident Management, Change Management, Service Level Management, and Service Catalog. Experience developing ServiceNow status, statistical, and analytical reports. Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or comparable AI technologies . Experience with application performance monitoring, metrics, analytics, and logging. Experience managing SaaS vendors, upgrades, support tickets, and service issues. Experience in Agile environments and cross-functional technical teams.
