Payroll SpecialistCompensation: $34–$38/hour, depending on experience Location: Santa Rosa, CA Schedule: Full-time, onsiteProSearch Recruiting Group is partnering with a well-established and highly respected construction organization in Santa Rosa to identify an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their accounting/payroll team.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail and pace of payroll and wants to join a stable organization with a collaborative team environment. The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in supporting weekly union payroll, certified payroll reporting, timecard processing, and other payroll-related functions.What You'll Be DoingSupport the processing of accurate and timely weekly payrollReview, audit, and transfer employee timecards and payroll dataAssist with union and certified payroll processing and reportingProcess payroll adjustments and edits and help resolve discrepanciesRun and review timecard and change reports prior to payroll processingAssist with weekly electronic paymentsProvide backup support for union reporting and other critical payroll functionsWork closely with field leadership to research and resolve timekeeping and payroll discrepanciesMaintain accurate payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and complianceAssist with process improvements and identify opportunities to increase payroll efficiency and accuracyProvide backup support to the payroll team during deadlines, absences, and other time-sensitive situationsWhat We're Looking For3–5+ years of payroll experiencePrevious construction and/or union payroll experience strongly preferredExperience with certified payroll is highly desirableStrong understanding of payroll processes, timekeeping, and payroll reportingExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlinesComfortable researching discrepancies and independently working through payroll issuesProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with construction/payroll systems is a plusStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approachAbility to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretionWhy Consider This Opportunity?This is an opportunity to join a long-standing, stable organization within the construction industry that values its employees and has built a strong reputation throughout the North Bay.
