Traveling Electrician – Journeyman This is a 95% travel position located at Atec, Inc. in Houston, TX. The job is a field crew role and does not require applicants to be based in Texas. Job Overview Field support for repair, maintenance, and installation of USAF Noise Suppressors, including Engine Test Cells and Hush Houses. This role allows you to work in a small contract field team and to learn specialized industry products. Responsibilities Repair, maintain, and install electrical components of USAF noise suppressor systems. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Support multiple trades as required by the team. Operate equipment such as forklifts and perform rigging and hoisting tasks. Travel throughout the continental U.S. and potentially overseas. Maintain compliance with the Service Contract Act and background check requirements. Qualifications Journeyman electric‑technician with at least five (5) years of experience. Strong knowledge of industrial construction practices. Familiarity with steel erection, refurbishment, and blueprint reading. Reliability to travel full time and use personal transport.
