Sous Chef Position at Dockside Pub
Dockside Pub is looking for an experienced Sous Chef. The Sous Chef oversees the daily food preparation and other places where food is served. They will direct kitchen staff and handle any food-related concerns.
Job Duties:
- Check freshness of food and ingredients
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
- Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
- Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Inventory is done using the Orca Inventory System
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
- 50 hrs a week minimum may increase to 60 during the busiest part of the season.
