Wage: $17.13 to $17.13 per hour( Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range ) Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week Location: Tom TaylorFamily YMCA, Gig Harbor, WA As a Youth Sports Staff, you will be responsible for instructing class participants in various sports, games, and activities while providing quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of age or older. Six months or more of related experience (preferred). The ability to instruct participants in techniques. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred). Knowledge and skills in programming, activities, and sports. Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required. Key Responsibilities: Lead and assist participants in skill development, game play, and activities appropriate for each age group. Encourage sportsmanship and teachable moments to implement our core values. Assist in creating age-appropriate lesson plans to ensure fun, high-energy classes. Monitor the facility, organize activities and instruct youth on proper use of equipment.
