Substitute Secretary/Clerk

Job TitlePerformanceResponsibilities:Assist the administrator in the overall operation of the site, including limited duties as a classroom or recess aide or building custodianMaintain the work area in a clean, orderly, and functional mannerCompile, collate and bind printed materials as directedMaintain the confidentiality of student and staff records including those related to behaviorOperate laminating and copy machines, computers, typewriters, calculators, fax machines, and other office equipment in an efficient mannerGreet visitors and persons entering the building in a friendly mannerAnswer telephones, relay messages, and transfer calls to appropriate individual in a professional and personable mannerHandle mail and other deliveries as required, both receipt (sorting & distribution) and disbursement, making sure necessary supplies are on handMake copies for others as neededOccasional exposure to blood and bodily fluidsOccasional interaction among unruly childrenComply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies and proceduresPerform other duties as directed
