About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Immunology Research to lead a large team of researchers in the pursuit of groundbreaking discoveries in the field of immunology. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the immunology research strategy, fostering an innovative and intellectually rigorous environment, and driving cross-disciplinary research at the interface of immunology and inflammation across various therapeutic areas. This includes a focus on neuroimmune strategies in neuroscience, leveraging immune mechanisms in oncology, and discovering novel therapies targeting the immune system in cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases. The role also involves partnering with corporate business development, translational medicine, and the center of excellence in computational sciences to advance the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. Applicants for the VP of Immunology Research position at the company should hold a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or an equivalent advanced degree, with a proven track record of scientific accomplishments and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, be a critical thinker, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Leadership experience, including a record of developing and mentoring scientific leaders, is essential. The role requires a strategic thinker who can partner with the business, act as a subject matter expert, and demonstrate the potential for high levels of critical thinking and emotional intelligence.
