About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of R&D to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards in the creation of plant-based products, with a strategic and leadership-focused approach. This role involves representing the R&D department in partnerships, being a key member of the leadership team, and overseeing the product development process from inception to advancement through each phase. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive R&D experience in the food industry, particularly in the execution of plant-based food products, with a preference for those with startup experience. A Bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree or MBA being a plus. Candidates for the VP of R&D position at the company should excel in a startup environment, be adept at creating new procedures and processes, and possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in teams and cross-functional groups, both regionally and globally, are essential. The role demands a strategic thinker who can take ownership of the product development process and act as a guardian for its advancement.
