Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), supporting students’ speech and language development in a dynamic school environment. This onsite position engages you in the academic year cycle, so you can make a lasting impact from August 2026 through May 2027, working a consistent 37.5 hours per week. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team to help students overcome communication barriers and achieve their fullest potential.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina SLPA license (required to start)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Ability to work onsite and adapt to the unique needs of elementary, middle, and high school students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered support

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language interventions as outlined in student IEPs
• Work collaboratively with supervising SLPs, educators, and school staff
• Document therapy sessions and student progress according to district protocols
• Support implementation of speech therapy programs within the classroom setting
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
• Assist with district backfill needs as assigned
