The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized professional, and results oriented individual to serve as a Senior Public Service Administrator (Monitoring Administrator). • As Monitoring Administrator, formulates, designs, and directs the implementation of policies and procedures regarding monitoring services related to guardianship and adoption action planning and licensing action planning.

• Directs, plans, and manages Tragedy Reviews and action plan execution.
• Serves as full line supervisor.
• Represents the Deputy Director and the Department before other state and federal agencies, private organizations, elected officials, courts, and lay groups with regard to permanency-related issues.
• Serves as Master Trainer in designated areas.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

• Requires an MSW or master's degree in a related human services field.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR five years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with a master's degree in a related human services field.

• 5 years of professional experience managing or conducting child welfare casework or performance monitoring services.
• 3 years of professional experience in the oversight of a large program for a public or private organization.
• 3 years of professional project management experience.
• 3 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• 3 years of professional experience conducting planning activities on a statewide basis.
• 3 years of professional experience in the development of strategies for the improvement of program services.
• 3 years of professional experience conducting community outreach as a representative of a public or business organization.
• 2 years of professional experience serving as a trainer of professional staff in a social work area.

• Requires ability to pass a background check.
• Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.
• Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result, the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment, the employee shall, prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer, notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.

Term Appointment:
