Job Title: Nurse Manager - ER

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11213

Schedule: Evening | 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract with very High Chances of Extension

Pay Range Local: $70/hr - $75/hr on W2, approx

Pay Range Travel: $3000/wk - $3500/Wk approx

Job Summary:

The Emergency Department Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, staffing, quality improvement, and clinical performance within the Emergency Department. This role ensures high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, staff development, and compliance with nursing standards while promoting a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily Emergency Department operations, staffing, and workflow.
• Monitor staffing metrics, overtime, turnover, and departmental performance.
• Oversee staff orientation, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Lead quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to maintain nursing care standards and compliance.
• Address and resolve patient, physician, and staff concerns.
• Conduct staff meetings and support employee development.
• Ensure safe, high-quality care for Emergency Department and trauma patients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department nursing leadership/management experience .
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State .
• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC certification preferred .
• Strong leadership, operational management, communication, and team development skills.
