Locations Illiana Heating & Air Conditioning, 11407 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46303, USA On-site Pay range: $25 USD to $35 USD (estimated budget range; final offers based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons) Field – HVAC Full-Time Requisition #: HVACS003926 Description About the Role: As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they become critical. Install, repair, or replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork. Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments. Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements. Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role. Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems. Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards. Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
