Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour various day shifts Monday through Friday
• 40 guaranteed hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• On-call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 back-up per week with 30-minute response time
• Weekend and holiday rotation every 3rd-4th weekend
• Vehicle required due to 30-minute response time requirement
• Scrub colors provided
• 2-week orientation process with additional anesthesia skills training
• Required certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required
• Minimum 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with Cell Saver and Belmont equipment required
• Assist anesthesia providers in 21 operating rooms including all specialties
• Assigned to 4-5 rooms per day
• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines
• Help with placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters
• Perform IV starts, lab draws, medication pump setup
• Operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment
• Support heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries
• Previous experience with conscious sedation preferred
• Must be flexible, hardworking, resilient, and manage change well
• Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of all OR cases required
• Willing to perform downtime tasks when needed

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical program with 21 operating rooms covering all medical specialties, with a particular focus on their cardiothoracic program. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes advanced medical equipment including Cell Savers and Belmont systems. The organization provides extensive orientation and training programs to ensure staff proficiency in specialized anesthesia procedures and maintains modern Epic charting systems throughout their operations.
