Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based

Korak Global Healthcare Services is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students in Washington, DC public schools . The SLP will provide direct and indirect speech-language services, conduct assessments, support students' communication needs, participate in the special education process, and collaborate with teachers, families, and other members of the school-based team. This is a full-time, W-2 position with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational and communication outcomes of students. This is an in-person school-based position. Candidates must currently be based in the Washington, DC area and be able to reliably work at assigned DCPS school locations. This is not a remote position. Key Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students in a school-based setting. Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments and contribute to appropriate intervention planning. Provide services addressing areas such as articulation, receptive and expressive language, voice, fluency, and other communication needs. Develop, implement, and monitor speech-language goals in accordance with students' educational and service plans. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to IEP development, progress monitoring, and case management. Manage an assigned student caseload and maintain accurate, timely clinical and service documentation. Complete service logs, progress reports, assessments, and other required records. Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, families, and other professionals to support student progress. Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians and school personnel regarding student progress and services. Follow applicable DCPS, OSSE, IDEA, FERPA, HIPAA when applicable, and professional requirements. Attend required meetings, training, professional development, and case conferences. Maintain all required professional licenses and school-based credentials in good standing. Follow all applicable student safety, privacy, documentation, and professional conduct requirements. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field. Active District of Columbia Department of Health (DC DOH) Speech-Language Pathology license. Current District of Columbia OSSE School Speech-Language Pathologist credential/certification. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Minimum one year of school-based Speech-Language Pathology experience in a public school or charter school setting. Experience with speech-only IEP case management .Experience managing a school-based therapy caseload, including a caseload of approximately 35 or more students . Strong knowledge of school-based speech-language assessment, intervention, documentation, and special education processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet required deadlines. Must be currently based in the Washington, DC area and able to work in person at assigned DCPS school locations. Candidates with a DC license or OSSE credential pending, expired credentials, or who are still completing clinical fellowship requirements will not be considered for this position.
