Event Logistics Crew Lead - Full Time

Overview The Event Logistics Crew Leader is responsible for the setup and strike of temporary structures for events at Biltmore Company. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary on‑site lead supervising staff and vendors. Provide on‑the‑job training for all new hires and support front‑line staff by answering questions and guiding with Counterpoint functions. Communicate employee issues to supervisors and the location manager while offering general support to leadership and the company. Manage inventory, cleaning, and repair of equipment, and organize the warehouse/top room. Utilize rental software to plan and schedule upcoming requests. Assist leadership and the department with general support as needed. Essential Job Duties Plan upcoming event needs with the EL Manager/Supervisor and communicate with staff. Maintain event inventory control for both delivered and returned items. Ensure inventory is in good condition and available for rental. Work closely with front‑line staff to develop standard operating procedures for each area of Event Operations. Document and teach work processes and SOPs, escalating any issues to Supervisors and recommending process improvement ideas. Meet all deadlines consistently. Set up and assemble equipment such as dance floors, stages, chairs, etc. Prioritize safety and maintain a clean driving record. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; additional training preferred. At least two years of related experience, ideally in event logistics. Demonstrated commitment to world‑class internal and external guest service. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; basic math skills required. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organizational, and project/time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt. Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and service. Proactive initiative and good judgment; creative problem‑solving capabilities. Ability to operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment. Physical Requirements Lift, push, pull up to 50pounds frequently and up to 100pounds with assistance. Hold a valid driver’s license and be at least 19years old. Forklift certification may be required. Climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding. Know cleaning chemicals and their proper applications. Stand or walk for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, potentially exposing to dirt, dust, pollen, fumes, smoke, chemicals, and particulates.
