This role assists in managing data systems, performing routine data quality checks, and supporting reporting and analytics efforts. The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data standards are followed, resolves basic data issues, and helps maintain documentation of data processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a foundational understanding of data management practices. The Data Management Specialist I contributes to maintaining reliable data assets that support business operations, decision-making, and compliance requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Collect, input, and maintain data across systems ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timelinessPerform routine data validation and quality checks to identify and correct discrepanciesAssist in the standardization and governance of data according to established policies and proceduresSupport data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment activities to improve data integrityMonitor data workflows and escalate issues related to data inconsistencies or system errorsMaintain and update data documentation, including data definitions, processes, and guidelinesGenerate basic reports and data extracts to support business operations and decision-makingCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance, IT) to resolve data-related issuesSupport system migrations, integrations, and data updates as neededAdhere to data security, privacy, and compliance standards in all data handling activitiesAssist in identifying opportunities to improve data processes and efficiencyProvide basic support to end users on data-related inquiries and toolsMaintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferredEquivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered0–2 years of experience in data management, data entry, business operations, or a related roleInternship or academic project experience involving data analysis or data handling is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation)Familiarity with data management systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce), or ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) systems preferredBasic understanding of databases and data structures; experience with SQL is a plusExperience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The physical demands and working conditions requirement indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions.Physical Demands:Office employees typically sit for long periods and perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as typing or using a mouse.
