Finance Analytics Leader

About the Role: We are looking for a talented Finance Analytics Leader who is passionate about enabling our business through data to join our team and help us build, operate, and maintain the distributed data pipelines and foundation datasets we need for robust financial reporting, analysis, and business decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as we establish the foundation for this critical capability. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining a strong relationship with partners in the finance team and IT along with helping to design, support, and scale a growing number of finance- and accounting-related data products where accuracy, completeness, immutability, security, and timeliness are key to success.

This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop Analytics/Report Developers
• Responsible for strategic technical direction of the Finance data landscape
• Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and distribution
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake architecture
• Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams
• Implement data privacy and security measures
• Power some of the most important and insightful dashboards and insights for our finances
• Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together or try to hunt down opportunities to acquire new data from other systems
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 15 years proven experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
• Strong experience in SQL and database design, including both relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with Power BI, Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics (TM1) working with financial data
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc
• Experience in multi-unit/legal entities, multi-currency and complex organizations
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to identify opportunities to leverage technology to solve business problems; drive efficiency through finance processes by automating, simplifying, or eliminating routine work
• Ability to travel up to 10%
