License: Valid state compact license required. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Cardiac telemetry experience. Progressive care unit experience. Ability to float to similar units. Weekend coverage commitment. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a progressive care setting. The focus will be on managing cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and other medical diagnoses. Nurses will assist with procedures such as cardioversion and sheath pulls. Management of cardiac drips and care for temporary pacemakers will be key responsibilities. The role requires monitoring of telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Nurses will engage in patient care management, including IV protocols and post-procedure care. Interdisciplinary collaboration will be essential, working alongside various healthcare teams. Patient age groups served include adults and geriatrics. Daily census may vary but will typically involve multiple patients. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed.
