Finance Manager

Position Summary Headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, N’J, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) the U.S. Sales and Marketing subsidiary, the role is responsible for the supervision and documentation of financial reporting and analysis, participating in 3-12 month rolling forecasting, month-end closing, and various ad-hoc financial and accounting duties. The role also assists in non-trade inter-company transactions and leads/supervises 1-2 junior finance professionals. Role and Responsibilities Perform 3-12 month business forecasts, including comprehensive forecasts of mobile devices’ sales quantities, wholesale prices, COGS, overhead expenses, and business environment changes to provide better financial visibility to management. Perform month-end closing from a managerial standpoint using SAP Controlling (CO) module, closely monitoring revenue/COGS recognition and expense allocation of various profit segments and cost centers. Prepare and provide various financial reports regularly and as needed to management. Coordinate monthly inter-company transaction activities and follow-up requests to maintain an appropriate margin for HQ Support Division. Perform other finance or administrative support projects and tasks assigned by financial management (e.g., royalty calculation, litigation-related financial data support). Present appropriate materials for leadership decision-making through precise profit and loss simulations, especially under uncertain economic conditions such as fluctuating tariffs. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 5–6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Strong business acumen; understanding commercial terms and potential impact and risk across business units. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work across departments to resolve urgent issues. Experience in business process review and analysis, including financial and operational analysis and audits. Proficient with Excel. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
