Job Description

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk in Newark, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk professional at a financial institution location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access and badges, monitor entry activity, and support security-related operations through strong customer service and communication. In this highly visible role, you will help create a professional atmosphere while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care for people, and integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific policies, managing front desk activity, and supporting security-related procedures at a financial services location.
Greet employees, visitors, and vendors, verify identification and/or access credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive lobby monitoring.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
Maintain visitor logs, answer phones, direct guests to designated areas, and document security-related events, concerns, and/or unusual activity according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
