Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician (JN- 7852961) Amesbury, England Salary: GBP13.14 per hour. Hours: 08:00–16:00 Monday–Thursday & Friday 08:00–12:00, 36 hours a week. Immediate start. Temp to Perm. Job Responsibilities: Assist Laboratory Supervisor to ensure work meets health and safety requirements, is done on time and to required quality standards. Deputise for the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure work continues to be carried out to a high standard. Ensure all work is done to correct quality standards, completed on time and without error, with minimum supervision. Learn new work techniques, formulations, processes and train others. Maintain accurate records for stock control, QC testing and production monitoring purposes. Carry out other production duties in different departments as required. Identify new methods of working and improve working practices in collaboration with other team members and production management. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, ensuring that work areas are kept clean and tidy, and glassware is washed and put away. Understand and adhere to performance and quality standards, making sure all work meets customer needs. Carry out work accurately to avoid errors, with careful following of work and sales order requirements. Take responsibility for good work standards, anticipate problems and take initiative to prevent problems with quality and efficiency, alerting others and management to ensure action is taken.
