Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist opportunity is available as a direct hire position located in Shawnee, KS. This role focuses on ensuring safe and effective management of specialty infusion therapies while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST
- Participation in on-call rotation as determined by pharmacy leadership
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, clinical appropriateness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide specialty medication counseling and monitor therapies, addressing clinical and patient care concerns.
- Collaborate with clinical, nursing, reimbursement, intake, and pharmacy teams to promote seamless patient care.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support training, quality assurance, compliance, and daily operational processes.
- Take part in audits, accreditation processes, quality improvement initiatives, and activities promoting patient safety and continuous enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Kansas.
- Strong knowledge of specialty medications and specialty pharmacy operations.
- Preferred: Three or more years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Pharmacy, Home Infusion, Retail, Community, Mail-Order, or Hospital Pharmacy.
- Familiarity with specialty therapy payer requirements, reimbursement protocols, and contract obligations.
- Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is advantageous.
- Experience working with CareTend or similar pharmacy management systems.
- Additional pharmacist licenses in states such as CA, TX, IL, VA, MD, WV, NV, TN, KY, MI, MA, OR, OK, ID are preferred.
