A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist opportunity is available for a direct hire position based in Kansas City, KS. This role requires an experienced pharmacist adept at managing specialty medication therapies within a clinical infusion setting and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal care outcomes.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST
• Participation in on-call rotation as scheduled by pharmacy leadership

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for clinical accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulations.
• Provide expert counseling on specialty medications, continuously monitor therapies, and address clinical or patient care concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, reimbursement, intake, and pharmacy teams to support seamless and comprehensive patient care.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians, promoting training, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and daily pharmacy operations.
• Engage in audits, accreditation processes, quality improvement initiatives, and safety programs to facilitate continuous enhancement in pharmacy services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in Kansas required.
• Strong expertise in specialty medications and the operational aspects of specialty pharmacy.
• Minimum of three years experience in Specialty, Infusion, Home Infusion, Retail, Community, Mail-Order, or Hospital Pharmacy preferred.
• Familiarity with specialty therapy payer requirements, reimbursement processes, and contract obligations.
• Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is highly favorable.
• Experience using CareTend or similar pharmacy management software is advantageous.
• Additional pharmacy licenses in states such as CA, TX, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, and others are preferred for cross-state collaboration.
