A hospital pharmacist position is available at a 250-bed community medical center in Independence, MO, located in the Kansas City suburbs. This 13-week-plus contract opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, ideal for locally based professionals or those willing to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily workflow
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles for dosage adjustments
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Missouri
- Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems preferred
- Strong communication and supervisory skills
Location:
- Independence, Missouri (Kansas City metropolitan area)
