A 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City, MO suburbs is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract position starting ASAP. This role is ideal for both local candidates and travelers interested in a 13-week or longer assignment.
Location: Kansas City, MO suburbs
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize medication therapy
- Consult with physicians and nurses to provide clinical expertise and recommendations
- Utilize Meditech and Pyxis pharmacy systems for daily operations
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license
- Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
- Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems preferred
