A well-established 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City suburbs is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for both local candidates and traveling pharmacists interested in contributing to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Location: Independence, MO
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 13 weeks and beyond
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate order verification to ensure safe medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient-specific medication therapies
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff through clinical consultations
- Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for daily workflow management
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license required
- Hospital pharmacy experience is essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis software preferred
