Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - Telemetry N umber of positions: 1 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 05052/2024 Hourly pay: $40.39 OT : 1.5 Weekly Pay : $1,454.04 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department : Stepdown Intermediate Care Shift Timings: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours, Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift. Per Week : 36 Hours This department is a 16 bed step down unit. Serves adults with a wide range of cardiac issues. Care for patients pre and post heart cath and patients with a variety of drips: lasix, heparin, Nitro, Amiodarone and Cardizem. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-5. The unit is also supported by PCTs and healthcare unit coordinator. Roles & Responsibilities Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered Oklahoma state license One year of Epic experience Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
