Cardiac ICU RN - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position for a Night 3x12-hour shift (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse with extensive experience in caring for patients with advanced cardiac devices and diagnoses. This role requires proficiency in managing patients with conditions such as LVAD, Impella, IABP, and TAVR, ensuring exceptional heart care, critical interventions, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients.
• Manage complex cardiac devices including Impella and IABP.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Execute pre and post-cardiac catheterization interventions.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
• Supervise and educate nursing staff regarding best practices in cardiac care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in Cardiac ICU, CVICU, or strong CCU.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Proven experience in patient ratio of 2:1.
• 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Ability to manage arterial lines, central lines, and CRRT.
